Im so happy- ive wanted this for 9 years.
But due to health reasons had to put it off.
Thanks dad for sending me all this happiness.
FF Bam Bam is a 2 year old neutered working male.
Living in Va, this is one of the new babies of Karakul sheep we have coming to FoxFire.
We wish to maintain a herd of 20 soon..
These sheep are from central Asia, are as old as the Central asian dog, come in the same non white colors, Black, Brown, Gray, Black Mask.
They are excellent for meat , milk and the wool.
This line is a CHampion bred winner from the Top Fleeces in this country.
I cant wait to show my 1st sheep this year at the county fairs..
Okay off the brag wagon
Here is what FF Bam Bam this mourning
You have an adorable Persian lamb this morning! I am going out to take pix is a bit. I walked out to the living room and noticed Bam with something black lying at his feet by the fence close to the house (where he likes to stand watch from). Yes, he stole the newborn and brought it up to the house. I yelled and he stood up, that lamb followed him crying and when it got to him it was looking for milk! Poor little thing!
It looks and feels like a poodle. J
He must have started licking it dry because it was not all full of goo. I picked it up and walked it to the herd up at the sheds and held it up and said WHOS IS THIS??!! Mom fessed up and I put them in the paddock together to bond.
This baby is from your 2 year old ewe with the beautiful fleece. She was bred to a rare line ram to produce this lamb. I will check to see the sex. If it is female, you can breed it to Ivan. If it is male, you may want to show it and see if you can sell him as a breeding ram. J Lori
I could not resist. You have to post this pic. Bam looks like the happy uncle here. He absolutely loves these sheep. Lori
The baby is not afraid of him (which is good) and I swear the Dorper ram thinks Bam is another ram! The dorpers love Bam as they were raised with Akbash and often times I find the Dorper ram lying on Bam or pummeling him with a hoof. The karakuls hang out with the pony as they were raised with mini donkeys. J Now we can raise the babies with CAS and have them look to them for protection. Funny crew, huh?
