We had a great time Teddy who is a jr at his 3rd show_ made this judges day_ She lol so hard when he danced around the ring she thanked me since it was her birthday and she was so happy to see a dog so alive and able to handle the stress of the ring..Commenting on " when he matures he will be unbelievable in the ring' and thanked me for taking out a long haired breed out of coat to such a hot show.. She also insisted on NO bait which was fun since Teddy acted more like a puppy much to the crowds pleasure with no food to focus on ( thank you to the white shep lady with the dog in heat worked great to get a hot dog moving)
Sadly i had to tell judges to please touch him since some have had issue with CAS being excused from the ring for aggression at UKC shows..
I would never consider TODAY bringing a dog to a show that can not be touched ... Back 15 years ago this breed was judged hands off and slowly things changed..
But some how I feel like when we take 3 steps forward we take 2 steps back.
Central Asian shepherd dogs must " be amendable to handling" as per the standards and in control of the owners. Dog to dog is allowed as long as the owner has control..
And for those of you who do not think the dogs can protect _ when shown hands on_ I took a mourning video of the SDA trial and when the bad guy came out and came towards the end of the ring Teddy alerted and got in front of me.
Screwing up the 2nd video as my camera went up in the air and i had to MOVE him fast not to bother any one in the practice ring.
So now that he has done his show thing time to go the the Protection club and work on the other end of guardian dogs...

Thanks, ive been asked by many to go out on the circuit again which would be 10-15 shows a year to showcase proper temperament in the breed. And since we are undefeated under FCI judges and 9 out of 10 judges akc/rare breed have picked us . We will LOSE that standing since some of these dogs are MUCH bigger and more impressive for showing... I guess losing but leaving lasting impressions of working dogs with proper temperament will have to be the next chapter to FOxFire.
Based on size and show looks FF dogs can now lose to these monsters but when i comes down to temp no one has as many dogs as we do that are approucable in public places or inside a show ring. And as remember from 10 yrs again some judges wont put up a dog that is not shown hands on and approucablle..
It will be sad when the better show comformation dogs loses because of bad temperament...
Truth is it comes down to different lines , diffferent sires, different or lack there of socialization..

PS I got out the judges rear was not the best pic because she was wearing a dress. My poor photographer had to push pass a line of people wanting to take pics of Teddy thus the poor angle of the judge rear.
